OUR EXPERTISE

A new vision for child & family mental health

Shanti Bose is an award-winning nonprofit leader and integrative mental health therapist specializing in early trauma, mindfulness-based therapies, and collective care. She currently serves as the Director of KidSCope and is recognized for her innovative approach to child mental health, bringing together clinical expertise with a vision that healing extends beyond the therapy room. Shanti believes children thrive when we care for the people, places, and communities that shape their lives.

Under her leadership, KidSCope has become a leader in integrative early childhood mental health, expanding access to community-based services across North Carolina. Shanti created the Healing Roots Initiative, taking therapy outdoors by blending nature-based therapy, mindfulness, play therapy, CBT, and other evidence-based early childhood approaches into one model of care. Alongside therapy and parenting support, the program helps families build their village through community wellness events that foster collective healing.

"Every family deserves mental health care that is welcoming, culturally responsive, and rooted in hope." — Shanti
