Mental Health Consultation

Mental health consultation is one of KidSCope's specialized programs that provides socio-emotional support to children aged birth to 5 within the classroom setting in childcare centers.

Our mental health consultants are trained to address the needs of each individual child by working with childcare providers and families to create success strategies in the classroom.

Consultations are provided free of charge. Consultants proudly serve Chatham and Orange Counties.

Services

- On-site consultations regarding child behavioral, emotional, and/or social issues.

- Developmental and/or Sensory Integration screenings for referred children, as needed.

- Referrals for further evaluation and/or appropriate treatment.

- Practical information and strategies for the classroom.

- Modeling strategies for use in the classroom.

- Written recommendations.

- Workshops and trainings on behavior management and socio-emotional development.
